Keep little ones creative and busy this Easter season!

Sometimes the best way to get kids to understand a bigger concept like religion is to teach them through a fun craft or activity. But while there are plenty of Easter crafts and Easter activities out there, finding creative ways to help them learn about Palm Sunday might not be as easy (or, to the kids, as exciting as say, an Easter egg hunt).

Still, a creative activity like painting or collaging will help the day feel just a little more special — and it may encourage little ones to think more deeply about Palm Sunday, Lent, Easter, and even Christianity as a whole. Plus, stimulating a child's brain with some creative play is always a good idea.

To help them grasp the concept of Palm Sunday, which falls on April 10 in 2022, begin by explaining that the day signals the end of Lent and kicks off Holy Week, which leads up to Easter Day. You can also pair any craft or activity with some Palm Sunday scripture, if you want! Of course, crafting the cross-shaped, woven palm leaves that are traditionally associated with Palm Sunday is an easy place to start, but if you're looking for even more creative Palm Sunday-themed crafts and activities for kids, check out these fun ideas that are perfect for Sunday School or celebrating at home.
