Trader Joe's recently issued a recall of its cantaloupe slices after being alerted of a possible Salmonella outbreak.

According to Trader Joe's website, the recall is related to a recent recall from Caito Foods, with whom Trader Joe's shares a supplier. The Centers of Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) reported that 93 illnesses have been linked to the strain of Salmonella at the Caito Foods facilities. This caused the voluntary recalls by Trader Joe's and Caito Foods.

Salmonella food poisoning can cause fever, diarrhea, nausea, vomiting, and abdominal pain, according to the CDC.
